Physical Education
Sport and PE in Lowerhouses are seen as a fundamental curriculum area. The children gain many advantages from taking part in sport that will affect their lives for many years to come.
It can:
- Encourage them to take an active role in sports and physical activities
- Encourage a healthy and balanced diet to maintain health and fitness
- Allow the children an understanding of how the body works and what to do in order to get the best out of their bodies
- Allow skills to develop across all aspects of life; like hand eye coordination, ability to work within team and even allow the child to learn how and when they need help with something.
At Lowerhouses we pride ourselves on offering a range of sporting activities both in and out of school hours for a wide range of abilities and age ranges. The clubs can include unusual sports that the children may not have experienced before such as handball, which they may like to try. We also offer sports that the children know they enjoy taking part in, want to improve and build on their skills and ability.
